Employment Training Panel Honored for Leadership in Economic Development

On May 3, 2007, the Employment Training Panel was awarded the prestigious California Economic Development Leadership Award from the California Association of Local Economic Development (CALED), which represents the Economic Development community in California.

Presented to ETP by Assembly Member Juan Arambula, the award recognized ETP's continued support of economic development in California in an effort to help economic developers attract, retain and expand businesses in California.

During the award presentation to Executive Director Michael Saragosa, Assembly Member Arambula noted that since 2005 ETP has awarded over $50 mil in job training contracts to support California's economic development and business attraction and retention efforts, resulting in the creation of 24,000 new jobs.
